Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours dark mahogany brown with a frothy cocoa powder head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little thin lacing.
S: Roasty, earthy char, a touch of smoke, a little dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, and burnt sugar sweetness.
T: Follows the nose, roasty, earthy, mild char, a hint of smoke, bittersweet chocolate that emerges more as it warms, a little dark fruit, plum and cherry, faint herbal undertones, and burnt sugar sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly chewy.
O: Solid straight forward stout that hits all the classic notes. I'd love to see them build off this base with some tasteful additions like vanilla or cacao nibs.
