Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden straw yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Ripe bright citrus, resinous pine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, a bit grassy, light herbal earthy woodsy notes, and slightly crackery biscuity malt, with just a hint of sweetness.
T: Bright citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and orange, resinous pine, grassy, underlying tropical and stone fruit, slightly underripe pineapple, mango, and apricot, guava, blueberry, melon, and passion fruit, herbal earthy woodsy notes, slightly crackery biscuity malt, and a just a hint of sweetness on a fairly dry finish.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp
O: My other half got a pour of this one when we were at the brewery and the smell was even better at the source. I remember it being extra zesty and green, in the best way. Wish I coulda squeezed in a pour of it for myself then, but I happily settled for a can to go. It's got a woodsy and melon side that comes out a bit more as it warms that I'm not crazy about (Thanks Krush) but other than that, it's another solid proper Westy from the JLB crew. Hopefully I can revisit this one at the source in the future.
