Dark coffee colored body with some brown edges. Head is grey and fluffy, leaving lots of nice lace behind.
Aromas are faint but of roasted barley, smoke, and some metallic aromas.
Chocolate malts come out first, with rich cocoa, smoke, herbs, light tangy bitterness, and a strong char. Finishes out with some more cocoa malts.
Parchy all the way through with some pokes of wetness throughout. Semi-dry roasty chalkiness on the finish. A touch watery.
Nebraska is putting out some good brews. This is no exception. Great example of the style, just not outstanding.
