thanks to my homie for hooking me up with a few from these guys, this is a cool red, drier than most but with a ton of malt depth, a really appealing drink on a chilly fall evening after a long week of both physical and mental work, man i love beer! lovely dark amber color to it, frothy tan head an inch high on top, nice carbonation the whole way. it smells fresh, toasty, and cozy without being boozy or sugary, a nice change up from the standard amber richness, this has more of a dry kilned character, brady, a hint of almond, dark bread, and earth, well layered, subtle fermentation character, very little hops. the flavor is similar, bready and hearty without being heavy, strikingly dry and smooth the entire time, yet still long on the palate, as sturdy as i want it to be. faint raisin, hazelnut, plain bagel, dry cocoa, maple, and even kind of woody, to me maybe faintly english or something on the yeast, but also has some lager-esque snap at the end. really nice beer, rustic but refined, a little different in this samey style space, cool roosted on the can, really solid! an ideal red for the fall season, majorly drinkable and satisfying, bravo.

Pours a dark red color with a foamy head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is caramel, vanilla and roasted malts. Taste is sweet caramel and vanilla. Enjoyable!

Fairly sustaining, alabaster head. Clear and deep chestnut brown appearance, with a little bit of amber/orange highlights. Caramelized, medium heavy toasted barley aroma, with a touch of allspice and a touch of woodiness. Medium light bodied. Medium toasted and caramelized malt, with a little spiced wood note, for the taste.
