I had this beer on-tap in a big pub glass at the brewery.
Appearance: kind of a dark gold hue with a little haze and a strong effervescence. Head is a finger of pillowy ivory foam.
Smell: quite malty with a decent amount of sweetness. Reminds me a lot more of a helles than a pilsner, but it’s not bad.
Taste: sweet and bready with a slightly fruity hop character and plenty of bitterness. Like I said, more like a helles than a pilsner, though not a whole lot like a helles either. Style choice aside, though, it’s not a bad beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer is pretty decent, if not 100% to style. It wouldn’t be my go-to but I wouldn’t turn it down if offered.
