Poured from 473mL can that I purchased at the brewery into a dimpled mug. No packaging date on the can.
Appearance: dark orange hue with a moderate murk and a very thin layer of dark ivory foam atop. Darker than I think of the style as being, and the level of head is quite low.
Smell: almost kind of like a wheat beer aroma (despite there being no wheat), with a rather berry-like hop character. It reminds me of, like, a strawberry hefeweizen or something. Not the worst aroma in the world, but definitely not what I'm looking for in a hazy IPA.
Taste: more or less the same comment as the aroma. The malt is kinda toasty in nature with a moderate sweetness, and there's a bit of bitterness in the finish. But that whole "fruited wheat beer" thing is still the main sensation I'm getting here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's drinkable, but definitely not what anyone is looking for in a hazy IPA.
