Poured from 473mL can into my 8th Wonder chalice.
Appearance: pale golden hue with just a touch of haze and a head of fizzy ivory foam that didn't stick around too long.
Smell: it's kind of weird -- I can pick out each of the elements: the peppers, the pickles, the sweetness. I like that it is interesting, but it also ends up giving it this very ... metallic aroma. Very odd. Not saying I hate it, but it's very odd.
Taste: every bit as bizarre as the aroma. A little sour and sweet up front, with a definite pickle quality and some spiciness on the back. There's a little fruitiness here, too, which actually kinda works. Much less of that weird metallic synergy than the aroma. I'll give this to them: it's what it says on the tin.
Mouthfeel: light body with a light carbonation and okay creaminess.
Overall: very bizarre beer. I am going to finish it, which I wasn't sure I would when I started. Usually I'm not into spicy beers, but this one is not overpowering. Definitely got the spice, but not crazily so. Easily one of the more audacious beers I've had, and moderately successful, at that.
