Pours cloudy straw coloured into a glass from a bottle. Carbonation is visible climbing the sides; no head.
Aroma is a tad astringent'; sour wheat, sharp lemon peel, floral dried banana, tart oat, candied orange peel, spice and some herbal hop underneath.
The flavour is quite abrupt in its balance, nothing grabs you straightaway. After a few sips you start to unwravel a Belgian influence with the orange and lemon peel, the coriander which mingles with the cardamon and earth, the banana bread on the aftertaste and the yeast which provides a slight sharpness on the draw.
The body is light, crisp and alive with a dryness on the back end.
Overall a lovely brew which still sits firmly in the style yet distinguishes itself in a way I can't quite put my finger on. Would recommend.
