Keg @ The Barley Mow, Bristol - Pours dark brown with a medium tanned foamy head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma - Nutty feel but not overpowering, roasted malt notes. Taste - nutty forefront, malty middle with a caramel feel, crisp light bitter finish. Lovely well balanced light version of Yellow Belly.

Reasonably good head on a beer containing so much fat; beige and fluffy, but not long-lasting. The beer itself is a deep, root beery, murky brown. Smells – as it should – JUST like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, bread and all. Lots of rich peanut butter, fruity strawberry, raspberry, and concord grape notes, and hints of chocolate and toasted wholemeal bread. LOVELY.
Tastes more fruity than it smells, and again – JUST like PBJ. They have nailed the flavour profile they are going for. This is really something. In some ways it drinks more like a soda pop than a beer, but then that's the glory of beer, isn't it? It can be brewed to taste like anything. And since so many 'gimmick' beers don't even deliver on their gimmick (much less taste good), I'm really impressed at how they've expressed the flavours of PBJ in such a big way. The mouthfeel matches the flavour perfectly, smooth but not sickly – in fact the beer is almost dry. Excellent work.
