A very unique IPA, this Collaboratin between Northern Monk, Fieldwork and Lonely Planet (yeah the travel guides) is an "International IPA" as it's brewed with African mangoes, South American Acai berries, European malts and wheat, and American and Kiwi hops.
This shows a nice golden colour.
The smell is very attractive, a real fruit bowl.
The taste follows with tropical fruits but also berries, floral notes, and stone fruits notes. The grain bill is great, the wheat is very enjoyable and makes it quite drinkable.
The balance is perfect for this juicy IPA.

A unique flavored IPA. This beer is great in every aspects!

CAN
NEIPA-ish soupy apricot with a pitted tower of taupe foam. 4
Big deep kronik with tangerine rind and burnt grass. 4.25
Caramel shortbread, mashed mango, some orchard fruit esters, tart fruit, then cut grass, grapefruit rind, lychee, + honeydew. 4.25
Sticky weed as it opens.
Light+, oily, round. 4

With mango + acai berry

No sign of dating, so not sure why the nose goes dank but the palate goes light. Hops play like the lighter side of Citra vs Ella or Nelson (label says US, Aussie + NZ hops.) I don’t know that the additions make any real difference, but there’s a solid, Vermont-esque IPA (this makes sense; Fieldwork is a New England specialist out of Berkeley) at the base, so it hardly matters. Age might be denting the brightness, but there’s still plenty going on.

Makes it look easy. 4

Pours a hazy, pink tinted orange, with soft, white foam.

Smell is insaney tropical, with just a bit of tang from mango and strawberries.

Taste is almost overwhelming. Hugely tropical, with buckets of mango and red berries. Finish is loooong, slightly sweet. The whole fruit basket is balanced by a perfect bitterness, that just binds everything together.

Mouthfeel is soft, pillowy and well carbonated.

This was a revelation! Pretty much a perfect NE style IPA, but still very unique, in both look and flavor. Breathtaking.
