For this Twist we brewed a soured version of our flagship New World IPA, introduced Citra to the existing hop bill of Simcoe, Chinook and Ekuanot and added Lemon juice for an extra level of zing.

Pours a clear, medium amber, orange'ish coloration with a small, foamy head. Second pour is more hazy for some reason, with some floaters as well. Smell is quite hoppy, with notes of tropical and citrus fruit: grapefruit, papaya, guava and a hint of lime. Tastes rather hoppy as well, with a strong sour kick that turns quite acidic in the aftertaste. Notes of citrus and tropical fruit: grapefruit, papaya and guava, that get a little drowned out by a strong citric sourness. Finishes with a light bitterness and even more citric acidity coming through. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I think it's quite interesting that they soured this with lemon juice, I haven't really had that before. While it does work, the sourness is quite intense, with a strong citric acidity that's probably a little overdone. Still an interesting and very drinkable beer.
