A triple West Coast IPA with upfront citrus bitterness and a big pine hop character, for people that prefer the light side.

Pours a clear, pale golden, straw coloration with a huge, fluffy, lasting head. Smells of citrus and somewhat floral notes, with hints of grass and pine. Taste is dominated by citrus notes of grapefruit, tangerine and lime peel, as well as floral orange blossom and hints of caramel malt, grass and pine. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some orange blossom lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
For a beer advertised as a "Triple West Coast IPA", this was a huge disappointment. I expect such a beer to be malty and resinous, with a strong, piney bitterness and this just doesn't deliver on that at all. Instead it's oddly floral and citrussy, with a surprisingly light body for the ABV, while still retaining a certain booziness, and very little pine or bitterness.
