Copenhagen 18/10 2019, 44 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Orange can with drawing of a Sail Ship in Classic Etching style.
Pours unclear, pale yellow with a very big white head. Settles as lumpy, frothy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense, rather sweet, fruity and with a weird chemical odor lurking in the background together with some fine bitter hops. Sweet pale malts, grains and straws. Citrus, grass. Dry hoppy presence.
Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Dry finish.
A fine pilsener with an extra little something when it comes to the hopping.

Pours a clear yellow with fine, soapy head.
Smell is floral with some crackery notes, and some herbs. Crisp and clean.
Taste is floral and herbal, fairly clean with a nice bitterness. Notes of citrus, crackers and white bread. A hint of vegetable broth on the end.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a nice pilsner. Not entirely traditional, but very drinkable.
