Copenhagen 8/10 2019. 44 cl can from Mikkeller Webshop. Drawing of a big hand coming out of a cloud grabbing for a wasp.
Pours hazy, milky golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet and fermented with more subdued citric notes. Pineapple, mango, papaya. Light decay. Lighter citrus, Grape fruit.
Light carbonation. Soft, smooth, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with bitterness getting the upper hand. Lingers for a while with light boozy burn.
Powerful, sweetly fermented, citric, aptly named Powerhouse.

Pours a hazy light orange with fine, soapy head.
Smell is sweet and juicy with notes of mango apricot, vanilla and a ton of hops.
Taste brings the hops to the forefront. Still sweet and juicy, but with a strong bitterness and notes of mango, grapefruit, pine and a well balanced hop burn.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pillowy with good carbonation.
Overall, a very nice, modern DIPA. Powerful but balanced.
