Side-note, the can is full to the top+, so when I open it the top of the can covers in 2mm of liquid beer (not foam) and it's sticky, so perhaps open other cans with care just in case. FWIW this has no impact of my rating for the beer...
L- Black as the night, not one photon from a halogen lamp held at the back of the glass permeates. Pours with 3mm ultra-fine bubble dark tan head.
S- Pungent coffeecocoa, some log cinders and light smoke after.
T- Deeply pungent, cocoacoffee again
F- It feels viscous, that'll be carbs that cause it to feel sticky to the touch. It's deep and pretty rich. I don't like outright 'sweet', at all, and thankfully this beer doesn't stray anywhere near that line. Note though I started off the tasting with it quite well chilled. It's a slow-sippin' beer for me, it's pungent, so I'll get to see if/how it changes as it warms some...
O- It's interesting to try and there isn't anything 'obviously wrong' or concerning me. That said the style *to me* is pretty OTT; I don't favour beer that is quite this bullish, even when put together well.
