Copenhagen 3/8 2021. 44 l can from Best of Beers web-shop. A very monstrous can with a very detailed drawing with some witches, a purple monster face and some very long fangs.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small light beige head. Bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of dark, roasted malts mingling with tart vinous notes. Sweet caramel, dark chocolate. Leather and soil. Red wine and wood. A bit sharp. Alcohol peeking through.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong tart, sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a distinct tart undertone. Lingering. Finish is fairly dry with a boozy streak.
Potent boozer where I can distinctly smell and taste the red wine and barrel aging.
