7 years? Doesn't time fly! We figured we'd celebrate by brewing up an IPA with our favourite combinations of hops and malt. With a grist made up with high portions of wheat and oats, we went to town with an El Dorado, Cashmere, Citra, and Mosaic dry hop, with intense, tropical results.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, foamy, lasting head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical/stone fruit hops, with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and peach, as well as some light herbal accents. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly herbal and dank hops, with strong tropical and lighter citrus and stone fruit notes of passion fruit, mango, grapefruit and peach, as well as just a hint of herbal weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some passion fruit, peach and dank accents lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice new England IPA with some quite juicy and expressive tropical and lighter citrus and stone fruit notes, with some light dank and herbal accents preventing this from becoming quite too one-dimesional. It's still a fairly typical tropical juicy bomb, but very well-executed, with the hops really popping here and a very nice, soft and fluffy mouthfeel as well. Perhaps a little too sweet for my personal taste, with very little bitterness in the finish, but has got a certain tangy edge from the tropical character to it as well.
