Copenhagen 15/6 2021. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Straight black can with Northern Monks logo and the name of the beer in white.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, pleasant odor mingling with lightly candy-like vibe. Brown sugar, vanilla, toffee. Sweet cherry wine.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light alcohol burn. Lingering. Finish is sugary with a touch of liqueur.
Satisfying Imperial Stout with a solid ABV. But it manages to hide its boozy charm pretty well.
