440mL can from Tesco.
Look: Thick, light brown head. Dark-chocolate coloured liquid,
Smell: Mocha coffee and vanilla ice cream.
Taste: First impression is remarkably similar to a coffee with a teaspoon of sugar and a dash of milk. Surprisingly less sweet than what the can would suggest - only slightly sweeter than a normal stout. More sips reveal a light vanilla note near the end. Almost no bitterness.
Feel: Slightly thin. Leaves one's lips feeling a bit sticky, as advertised.
Finish: Long-lasting vanilla and chocolate notes
Overall: Northern Monk have actually done an excellent job of masking the high ABV in this beer. Overall, it is a fairly easy-drinking, if not very complex, sweet stout. I would not seek this out myself, but it I can see how this appeals to certain drinkers.
