A traditional Bavarian-style wheat beer. Pale, spritzy, with plenty of banana, clove, and vanilla notes—all from the yeast! No bananas were harmed in the brewing of this beer. We can-conditioned this year’s batch for even more bubbles.

A: Pours a cloudy yellow color. A dense two finger white head forms with good retention. With spotty lace left down the glass.
S: Big banana esters, along with clove/spice. Husky wheat, and yeast characters. Pretty classic example of the style, which I like.
T: Follows the nose. Banana esters and a clove spice kick. This becomes a bit sweeter, more on the bubblegum side of things as this warms.
M/O: A light body. Almost lighter than expected. Not that that is bad, though even at low ABV, Hefeweizens can usually seem a bit more hefty than the ABV would suggest. Not so much here. Moderate carbonation, that becomes ultra smooth. Definitely easy to drink, and something I will come back to.
All the classic notes are there. Not a bad example of the style at all. It doesn't reach the heights of some regional and imports I easily have access to. Though I'll have no problem making space in my rotation for more of this.

Picked up a four pack of pint cans. Canned on date of 04/26/22.
Pours a clear golden color with a finger thick of foamy head that dissipates over time. A bit of lacing as you drink. Carbonation looks average to a tick above. I expected this to be a bit hazy, but otherwise it looks like a typical hefeweizen.
As advertised, banana and clove yeastiness with some sour notes lurking in the background. Fairly typical hefeweizen aroma.
Taste follows the aroma well, if a bit more sour than expected. Other than the banana and clove there is a bit of a white wine characteristic at play with a hint of lemon/citrus. It's a bit simple and doesn't quite hit the mark for me.
Mouthfeel is on the light side of medium bodied. A bit thin and overly carbonated for me. Drinks easy though.
Honestly not a terrible beer, but I've had many better hefeweizens. This is probably the worst beer I've had from this brewery, so maybe I set my expectations too high, but it was not what I was expecting. I'd pass next time.

16oz can, poured into a Weizen glass. Can bottom is stamped 'APR/1/21'. 5% for ABV.
Partly cloudy, straw to pale gold colored body. Two fingers of white head settle back to a thin cap. Leaves some lacing patches on the non-drinking side.
Aroma is wheat malt along with the yeast esters of bubble gum, banana, cloves and vanilla.
Taste is kind of sweet, and has the flavors of wheat malt, with good banana presence and recognizable spicy cloves.
Medium plus mouth feel. More to the dry side. Very good carbonation.
Very drinkable with appropriate aromas smelled with every sip. Very tasty Heffe. Lacks the head creation of some of the German made wheat beers. Very solid, and I will enjoy drinking through the 4-pack.

This is a 160z. can poured into a 20oz. weizen glass. There is a small pure white head that quickly recedes to a thin white cap and stays that way. This beer is a slightly hazy straw yellow with a steady stream of carbonation. The beer looks nice but lacks the large head of a "Hefee".
The aroma is the typical banana and wheat, nice and sweet, noticeable at a distance.
The taste follows the nose, sweet banana, very slight clove, I like the finish, hard to explain, maybe a doughy wheat banana bread finish, just a bit crisp, slight pepper.
This beer has a nice creamy feel, a very noticeable smooth feel.
This is a very good "Hefee", I'll search for more of these.

Look: golden color with a quickly dissipating head
Smell: Smells like a typical hefe, sweetness and wheat-y smell, but it does have a slightly tart smell to it
Taste: Not overwhelmingly banana-y like many hefes, with a slight citrus taste to it on the finish.
Feel: Well carbonated, moderate body.
Overall: Usually not a hefe drinker, but this was very well made and well balanced. No overwhelming fruit flavor like with many hefes, nor a strong sweetness, it was all just right for me. The carbonation was a bit strong, but very good and I will be seeking this out again.
