Lichtenhainer-style smoked sour wheat.
Thanks to Thomas & Jenny for this one!
Hazy pastel straw yellow, creamy foam forms a thin veil on the surface, spotty lacing around the edges.
Pleasantly smoky aroma, lightly salty smoked bacon, light briny note to the smoke.
Taste is tart and lemony like a nice Berliner, with the woodsmoke component lending some interesting complexity. Bone dry and fully attenuated. Tartness triggers the salivary glands.
Seriously smooth and creamy texture, very fine carbonation. Juicy up front with a dry crisp tartness. Perfect for drinking on the patio all day. Sadly it was only a 750ml growler. Loved this stuff.
