Notes:
Formerly: Pahlay'Ahlay
At the time Pahlay was first brewed in 2015, Citra hops, the ingredient that gives Pahlay its signature mango characteristic, was difficult to acquire in large quantities, so the production of this beer was limited. As soon as the availability of Citra changed, we started canning and distributing Pahlay.

I first had this beer in June 2018 and here are the scrappy notes.
Very good and a tad bit on the light side but very flavorful. It is fruity, sweet, has bready malts and is full-flavored using flaked oats with Citra and Simcoe hops. An excellent well balanced Pale Ale overall.

Pours a cloudy, opaque yellow color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is decent. Lacing is good. Has a wonderfully fresh and juicy citrus aroma. Mainly orange with a hint of grapefruit. Lighter taste. Less juicy but has fresh orange citrus with a more bitter grapefruit on the end. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. There is some dryness on the end.

16 oz can from Lifesource in Salem OR ( how did it get all the way over here to Gods Country?)
$3.79
Pours a hazy yellow..no orange! Fantastic head on it..frothy/bubbly and thick..white coloured.
Fruity aromas..mainly orange pith and lemon meringue pie! Appetizing aromas for sure.
Taste is beautifully balanced..with the lemon taking top spot..but well balanced by the malts..very nice indeed.
Very nice and approachable mouth feel delicate yet tough..very well done.
Great Pale Ale here.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into a nonic glass.
Pours a pale yellow-gold with a limited head and lacing. Slight haze. Very representative and pleasing for the style.
Mild aromas of grapefruit, lemon, yeast, and grass. Strong aromas than many of the style exhibit, and not in a bad way.
The flavors follow the nose with mild but distinct grapefruit, lemon, mango, and pineapple fruit flavors on the tip of the tongue. Crackery yeast arrives in mid-stream with zesty wheat, mellow oats, and some faint grassy and chive notes at the finish line. The APA style can be "boring" as a baseline. This one is a notch or two above the norm from both an intensity and nuance standpoint.
The brew is medium-light, well-carbonated and drying, yet smooth, and just short of "crisp."
This is a very flavorful brew, especially for the APA style.

The look, smell and feel is all fitting for style. Taste is pleasant just not complex and leaves me wanting. Nothing stands out other than it goes down easy. Overall well done but for me I want more fruit citrus in flavors for a New England IPA.

16oz can served in a pint glass. Dated 5/29/19.
Hazy, light white-yellow with a medium head and medium carbonation. Smell is juicy and rich -- pineapple.
Taste is right along the same lines. Bit more of a bitter finish, a bit less juicy, maybe a bit more citrus rind.
Mouthfeel is lightish and fairly dry. Overall, quite good pale ale.

Poured from 16 oz can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy lemon yellow hue with 1 inch bubbly white head with good retention.
S: Lemon, orange, tangerine, lime, sweet grapefruit, and a hint of melon. Lovely tropical citrus aroma!
T: Lemon, lime, tangerine, dry cracker malt, sweet grapefruit, and hints of orange and peach.
M: Light body. Slightly oily feel. Controlled tropical and citrus sweetness. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: Super refreshing! Wonderfully sessionable summer brew. Lots of flavor with only 4.8% ABV. Picnics, after lawn mowing, at the beach...summer.

Pahlay pours a hazy bright golden color, with a small, but nicely lacing head. Big tropical fruit aroma, with a creamy hopy aroma. Flavor is the same, nice tropical flavor, some creamy hops, just a hint of bitterness, with a very drinkable body. Good feel as well. Overall, a very good, and easy to drink hazy pale ale.
