S: The beer smells like citrus, light oak, some woodiness and earthiness and fruit.
L: In the glass it is hazy tea tinted gold under a 1" cream to off-white foam cap that dissipates quickly.
T: It's a sour drink with medium to medium high tartness backed by a lemony background, a slight earthiness and nicely developed fruit flavors. The tartness is complex with lemon, vinegar and even yogurt aspects. A medium low sweetness softens the tartness slightly and balances a medium low to medium bitterness. There is enough oak to know it is there but not too much to over power the beer. In the background light bread crumb and traces of caramel remind you that this is a beer.
F: The body is light to medium light and there is a moderate astringency from the oak to balance the tartness and add a slight heft to the body.
O: A beer with this level of complexity and character encourages you to sit back and slowly savor it while searching out all the different flavors.

Funky, earthy, fruity aroma. Bruised apples, strawberry jam, wet earth, grapefruit pulp. Spritzy lemon-lime. Somewhat mineral. Nutty and almost savory. Rich. Acidity with a lot of depth.
Pours murky, light amber. No head retention or lacing. Doesn't look great, but it has a lot else going for it.
Juicy acidity, overripe fruits, wet wood, spices, and more. Herbal and nutty. Damp earth, leaves, apples, it tastes like autumn. Limey, but with a lot of depth. Strawberry jam.
High carbonation, medium-light body. Bracing acidity. Ridiculously dry. Almost tannic.
One of my favorites so far from Fair State (maybe behind Citra Sour). Bright and juicy at the same time as nutty and earthy.

Tart lemon-lime aroma, with some vinegar and oak notes. Taste is similar, with a lime-driven tartness backed up by apple cider vinegar, oak, and white pepper. Lingering sour lime finish, like biting into a fresh lime. Very refreshing, yet complex, Sour.
