Pours black and opaque. Solid tan head.
Aromas of smoke and vanilla. The brew is not particularly complex, but it's still an interesting mix of flavors. Solid initial sweetness, with cocoa forward, gives way to ashy drying roasted notes. The brew is actually pretty light bodied for the style and ABV.
Pretty solid.

Pours out of the can a dark black-brown with a nice 2 finger head that isn't fizzy but not overly thick either, with good lacing. Smells like cocoa, roasted malts, and some vanilla. Tastes like dark chocolate and the malt. Pretty good mouthfeel, while not being overly thick. Great work.

12oz can from the mixed pack
Pours up looking real nice, brown almost black, dark foam. Smells like dark chocolate and charred malts. The taste is very potent, more dark chocolate and roasted malts, underpinned by some hops. Not too sweet. Way too easy to drink

Pours pitch black with a bubbly two finger head. Aroma is roasted malt and dark fruit. Taste is roasted malt. The body is on the light side of moderate, with low carbonation. The primary profile is roasted malt -- almost a black IPA, though here the hops are nearly absent. Not a lot of depth, as this is a one trick pony.

Canned 9/16/22; drank 1/31/23 @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge dark tan head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Dark chocolate, mild cream & faint dark berry notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Dark chocolate, mild nougat & faint cream flavors.
This is easy to drink but substantial. I'd have another!

Pours a dark brown, with a 1/2" khaki head leaving a lightly laced glass. Nose gets some roasted malts and cocoa, taste buds get that along with a hint of licorice. Thick, but not chewy, lightly carbonated. A well-done stout.

L-Dark brown with ruby red highlighted chocolate head.
S-Light aroma. Roasted malts and a dusting of cocoa.
T-Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, espresso, roasted malts, along with some char/smoke. Hit's the mark.
F-Not immense. I'd call it medium/full. Creamy texture.
O-Very enjoyable stout with a loaded flavor profile. Reminds me of some of the Bell's stouts I drank years ago when I was first starting to enjoy stouts properly.

Opaque black body with a tan head. Nice caramel, smoke, roasted malt and dark fruit in the nose. Taste is a throwback imperial stout, bitter, smoky, and heavy. Malt leads the way with lingering dark fruit, caramel, smoke, slight coffee and earth. Feel is medium for style, smooth and smoky.

A - Pitch black pour with light toffee colored lacing.
S - Lightly toasted chocolate malt with some notable graininess in the nose.
T - Oxidated chocolate.
M - Heavy medium body.
O - This didn't fare well for such a big beer.

I live here in MN. This is the perfect stout for my palate, and I have tried MANY.
Bought at Apollo Liquor in Rochester, MN. Poured from a 12 oz can slowly at a 45 degree angle into a traditional 16 oz. beer mug. The appearance is VERY dark brown and slightly cloudy with no light getting through when placed in front of a 45 watt bulb. 1 big Norwegian finger of dark beige head (translation for non-Norwegians: 1.5 fingers). Smell is not overpowering, but strong. Smells of chocolate, leathery with a hint of smoke. Taste is basically the same as the smell. Doesn't taste as "boozy" as most 8% ABVers. Mouthfeel is medium weight and carbonated perfectly. Finishes dry. A perfect MN outdoor fireside double stout!

Really well made stout, deep brown, nearly black, tan head, minimal lacing. Smells of roast malt and chocolate/espresso. Good roast malt flavor, dry stout finish I like. Like this one a lot.
