a bright golden sour beer that is liberally hopped and apparently barrel fermented. i cant get enough of these guys right now, amazing beers across the board. beautifully clarity and radiance here for what this is, uncommon in the style for sure. gorgeous hoppy nose, nelson forward for sure, citra in here too i am sure, not positive about the other varietals, but higher apha i would think, as there is some solid bitterness in the flavor here for how dry hoppy this is, just insanely fresh and interesting, a nice balance between the different hops, but in the nose, i channel in on the nelson and am loving it. the flavor is great, the sourness is clean and tangy, but not heavily acidic, certainly not too much so to drink a lot of this, and the flavor to the sour agent is lemony and fresh tasting, which is a wonderful compliment and highlight to the hops in here. white grape, meyer lemon zest, tangerine, lemongrass, fresh medicinal herbs, and a little honey sweetness from the simple but not irrelevant malt base. light new oak richness here is cool against the mild acidity, and there is a wonderfully fresh zesty finish that only turns a little vegetal bitter on the swallow, nelson again stands out to me, but there is balance and interplay between the different hops that is fantastic. another winner from fair state, these guys dont miss!
