This beer pours a very clear, lighter golden color. The head is 1 finger, white, but not long lasting at all. No lacing on the glass, but there's nice carbonation bubbles rising in the glass.
The nose is nice and hoppy. The hops are more pine than citrus, but both aromas are there.
Taste - it is a lighter IPA. The flavors are there, and they are good, but they aren't over powering. Like the nose, the hops are more pine than citrus.
The body is lighter, but not watery at all. I do get a lot of carbonation feel from this.
This is a fun IPA to drink. It isn't crazy hoppy, but does have a good flavor, and feel to it. I'd say try it if you can get it.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. Canned date stamped on can bottom as '04/02/18'.
Totally clear, pale golden colored body. Fizzy head upon pouring disappears within twenty seconds. No lacing.
Aroma is fruity and dank, but the dank is vegetal and quite dominant.
Taste continues the dominant dank component here. Really is a variation of skunk. Lurking in the background is the fruity component, but it does not last long in the taste profile.
Medium mouth feel. The clear body allows clear expression of the high carbonation with rapidly rising bubbles.
This beer has an unappealing aroma and taste, and the appearance is odd with the total absence of head. This is not a beer I would drink again. 'Spirit Foul' is better than 'Mirror Universe' and both are better than this beer.

Super clear golden yellow. Very little white head. Fades to nothing. Looks like a lager.

Floral and piney. A nice regular ipa. Very green with a bit of dank weedy notes. Pretty solid ipa.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head that dissipates instantly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is weakly citrus and hops. The flavor is no stronger than the aroma, weak citrus a little cracker and very little hop bite. The feel is fairly flat. Overall a huge disappointment especially considering the price point.

Clarity of Purpose snuck up on me - I missed the hype, I missed any brewery news, and I didn't know a thing about it coming out. In MN, a collab between Fair State and Surly is pretty big news - so apparently I had my head in the sand (again).

Honestly, it's just as well - I was fairly disappointed by this beer. I like the clarity of the beer, but it has an odd champagne yeast sort of character to it. There's a certain grape-y quality I am not a fan of in beer.

I'd generally write more, but this beer doesn't do enough for me (good or bad) to merit more attention. I'd hoped to send to friends, but I'm not in habit of sending out mediocre beer.

A pint can dated 04/02/18 purchased in Minneapolis. Poured in a Surly Teku for the review.

Look- Pours a thin translucent pale gold producing a couple centimeters of foam that instantly disappears. No lacing is present.

Smell- Dank weed, passionfruit, floral, mango and fresh rubber.

Taste- Dank/spicy weed, passionfruit, mango, floral and fresh rubber.

Feel- Thin and very dry with a slight hop bite.

Overall- While I was taken aback by the slightly low score, I'm not surprised because of all the hazebro. This is pale, clean and boring to look at, but delivers a big dank hop smell and taste that reminds me of early Enjoy By batches or Three Floyds Permanent Funeral. A nice value at $11 for a 4 pack of pints.

Taste and smell was citrus and pine with a adjuncts and malt,Mouth feel light with medium low carbonation with mild bitterness. Glad i only bought 1 can as it was hard to finish.

The prettiest can unleashes meh like no other. Tastes like someone poured a Bud Light into my Mirror Universe while I wasn't looking.

Why do people add beers to the database without reviewing them? It is one of life’s great mysteries, right up there with Area 51. 16 oz. can. Nice artwork.

The pour is as clear as its name, light yellow with minimal carbonation. Almost no head. Nose is similar. Bit of grains & citrus, but surpassingly light. Eh.

Clarify of Purpose tastes nothing like a NE IPA. NE Nepal, or NE Lichtenberg, perhaps. What is tastes like is an IPA crossed with a hefe – strong graininess, grassiness, honeyed sweetness, light bitterness & piney citrus. Light & sweet. If one had impaired taste buds, one could drink plenty of this.

Like most collabs, this one rushes towards the lowest common denominator, & having read the description on both brewery’s websites, missed the mark by a wide margin. Just boring, mediocre beer.
