Pours a hazy yellow color. Smells like tart, funky earthy Brett, and dark cherry pits. Tastes tangy and tart. Funky brettanomyces throughout and a woody oaky body. Bitter herbal notes on the finish.

12 oz. can. Pours clear golden with a fleeting white head. Smells of wood, a little cheese funk, and some citrus and fruity acidity. Tastes very woody too. Pleasant tartness up front builds into outright sourness. Sour candy. Back end is still woody with a little earthy yeast, but gets masked by sourness. Medium carbonation. Good all around, but a touch too sour to enjoy fully.

Thrilled to be 2nd (and first three word) review of this delightful Saison.
Brewer: My first, want to try all.
a) cider, flat head.
s) wine, cider, astringent.
t) Super pucker without over play. Lemon, cider, overripe cherry, fall fruit.
f) Cleansing, puckering, aperitif.
o) Flanders, fall fruit, cherry like. Winner. As good as any.
Brewer Notes: "BFDP is a blend of our favorite barrels from the cellar." Another big saison in a session format.

A: The beer is clear dark yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with just a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass and some specks of bubbles on the surface. The head then completely faded away.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sourness are present in the nose along with notes of cherries.
T: The taste follows the smell but only has a light amount of sourness with strong notes of cherry flavors and hints of oak.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very drinkable sour. I really liked the cherry aromas and flavors as it reminded me like a "lite" version of a Flanders Red Ale.
