Favor of the Foxes, a name borrowed from a local award-winning board game, is a powerful card that destroys and disrupts every other player’s plans. We aren’t saying this beer is going to destroy anything—except maybe your desire to drink anything else this winter. Best paired with friends and a board game, this malty, mildly hopped dark lager with coffee and vanilla is rich but not sweet with a pleasant aroma and enough malty backbone to balance it all out.

Favor of the Foxes pours a very dark, cloudy brown with a small, long-lasting lacing head. The aroma has notes of dark cereal and coffee. The flavor is light cereal notes; a heavy dose of coffee and vanilla comes through as it warms up. Light body. Overall, it is a nice beer with big coffee flavors.

Fair State Favor Of The Foxes Czech Dark Lager, 6.5% ABV. Pours the darkest brown with a 1+ finger light-brown head that left scant lacing. Aroma is malt, coffee, and vanilla. Flavor follows with coffee stealing the show, faintly sweet, slightly bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall very good to excellent.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lace on the glass. It smelled of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and vanilla. Nice coffee taste with chocolate, maltiness and a subtle vanilla flavors.
