Notes: Czech-style pale lager collaboration with Bierstadt Lagerhaus (Denver, CO), makers of the famed “Slow Pour” Pils. Soft, malty, and crisp, this is a “10 degree” Czech-style decoction-mashed pale lager, brewed entirely with Czech-grown ingredients. “Side Pull” refers to the iconic Czech-style beer faucet that produces an especially velvety, tight bubble foam. Best served with as much jiggly foam as you can muster. Live life above the rim.

Pours a golden, straw color with hints of copper and a frothy, two finger thick head on top. Carbonation looks solid. Lacing as you drink. Classic Pilsner malt profile comes through strong on the nose -- buttery malts and a hint of corn -- along with grass, lemon, bubble gum and some herbal spiciness. Taste follows the aroma well. Pilsner malts up front followed by lemon peel and grassy hops. Mineral water on the swallow. Finishes crisp and somewhat dry with a lingering, but subtle, bitterness on the tongue. This is a light bodied beer with zesty carbonation, almost a mineral water quality to it. Perhaps a bit thin, but very refreshing and easily drinkable.

Wow, this is a great Pilsner. It took me back to my trip to Prague, it is definitely true to the style. This is refreshing, crushable and offers a good amount of flavor and complexity. I continue to be impressed with Fair State Brewing. Cheers!

Can from Market of Choice.

A clear straw yellow with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is excellent. Soft, delicate, bready, doughy with a soft, lemony hop character. Slightly dusty. The palate opens doughy, bready, soft, mildly floral and with a refreshing lemon character. Snappy, creamy, smooth on the palate. A touch sweeter than ideal, which holds it back from greatness but this is ridiculously refreshing.

16oz tall boy can poured into Riverlands Dimpled Mug.

Canned on date: 6/21/21

Appearance: Translucent golden yellow body with bone white head that pours three fingers tall. Head drops to a thin layer on the top of the beer.

Smell: Corn and light cereal grain. Light noble hops character here.

Taste: Malt forward lager with a very light bitterness in the finish. Corn and unbaked bread dough for the malt profile. Light grassy, herbal, spicy, and floral hops in the finish. Aftertaste does not linger too long.

Mouthfeel: Light body with high carbonation levels present. Very drinkable. Drinks at it's abv. The body is soft with a fairly light crisp finish. Clean finish.

Overall: Very tasty lager. My first beer from Fair State brewing company. They picked a great brewery to do a collaboration with Beirstadt. Authentic and very European lager "esk". This is on par with all the big names in the American Lager game; Dovetail, New Glarus, Live Oak, etc.

Clear golden color with a dense head. Grainy aroma with hop notes of grass and a vague spice. Malty flavor and I wish it was more hoppy, drier, and more bitter. Musty grain flavor with some grassy hops. Light body with a smooth texture. The carbonation is unusual for pilsners but it works and I guess that's the slow pour feel.

16oz can. Bottom of can is stamped 'JUN/24/21'
Clear, pale gold colored body. One finger of firm, tiny bubble, white head. Leaves partial sheets of lacing.
Aroma smells of grass and hay, and the slightly fruity hops.
Taste is zesty, with some spice from the hops, and a good grassy, hay like malt base.
Medium mouth feel, with crispness. Soft texture. Very good carbonation.
Following part of the label description, this beer is crushable. Crisp and malty, with a tasty hop note.

Side pull

On tap. White head. With lace. Clear golden yellow color. Beautiful beer.

Light, airy, clean. Great feel to start things. Biscuity, grassy, zesty. It might be one of the best lagers to come out of the states. Very euro styled. It’s like drinking draft beers in Germany. Very crushable. Every drink makes you want to take another drink.
