Tibanna is a DDH Hazy IPA collaboration with Hubbard’s Cave (IL). Brewed with a hefty addition of spelt, oats, and wheat, and hopped with our hand-selected Citra and Citra Cryo, and well as Galaxy hops. Fluffy as a cloud, soft, juicy, and tropical with pineapple, passionfruit, and citrus notes.

Flavor: Strong flavors of orange citrus, blood, orange, tangerine. Some red citrus and pine behind it. Juicy and mildly sweet. (3.75)

Compared to Equilibrium Fractal Galaxy/Mosaic 12/2023: Pours darker, hazier, similar head. Stronger aromas. More juicy blood orange. Less mango juice, pineapple. Less smooth.

Sadly the looks are the best part of this collaboration. Not that it's a bad brew but it looks very inviting with tangerine hazy hues. Maybe it's the mix of the grains that turns me off. Call me a purist but I prefer barley malt being the base of a beer and all other grains I feel need to be secondary. These multitude of grains make for a very bready nose and palate. It complicates what could have been a VG beer but I can't get passed those grains to appreciate any other flavor profiles.

On tap in Philadelphia. Light gold haze. I'm getting a lot of grapefruit, not so much tropical fruit, with some acidity and a serious bitter backend, but doesn't linger. I thought it was drier than others here. Good feel for the ABV.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had dank tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with pineapple, passion fruit and other tropical fruit medley presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Can. Hazy pale sunset yellow. White head with lots of lace.

Tropical, citrusy, and juicy. A bit of earthy and zesty hops, but fairly soft overall. Orange citrus, pineapple, and mango.

Lots of great flavor, no alcohol burn. Appreciate a good single hazy.
