No-adjunct barrel-aged stout collab with Pulpit Rock Brewing, with a big pile of nothing added. Roasty and sweet with notes of oak, chocolate, and vanilla.

Jet black color, light carbonation, see some thin legs on the glass. Oak, leather, dark chocolate on the nose. Chocolate, prune, and some booze well integrated with moderate sweetness. It's 'thin' compared to the norm, but not lacking. One of the best BA stouts from MN.

I dig the philosophy behind it, and I dig the execution. Big and bold, but with nothing but the barrel to back it up. Relatively vinous with some drying tannins, it brings some anise, bittersweet baker's chocolate, crabapple, vanilla, and raw cacao notes. Occasional fruit hits, mostly blueberry and dark stonefruits. Full-bodied, moderate boozy heat from whatever barrels were used, but not overpowering.

Big 750ML bottle to begin a night of debauchery watching Ozark & goodness knows what else. Split with my wife.
Big black beer with a tiny little mocha head. The nose is almost entirely bourbon & oak. No objections.
More is More is as promised: bourbon, big hit of sweet malt, with a stave of drying oak rubbed against the tongue to finish. Marshmallow. Roast. A little brown leather. Thick, nearly edible. So straightforward it would be easy to sip on an entire bomber for an evening of delight.
No need for the dub-step. Excellent beer.

Non adjunct BA imperial stout.
On tap. Let this warm up a bit. Black color. Thick.
Tastes like the added vanilla beans. Big marshmallow flavor. Awesome bourbon and oak. Very warming, but smooth. Light roast with a rye like spice. Fudge and chocolate cake. Full bodied, but not a thick boi which is nice. Good to see a non pastry ba stout.
