Despite the adjective-laden style description, the beer is pretty approachable. This dark beer was lagered for extra crispiness, which really makes the smoked malt pop. It was then moved to the foeder for further lagering, where it also took on some smooth tannic creaminess from the oak. It's the beer equivalent of sitting near a campfire watching the sun set over a lake in late summer, right before the leaves start to turn, when days are warm and nights are cool. If there was an official beer of hoodie and shorts weather, it'd be Fire Sale.
