The Get Down Coffee Stout is a big ol’ export-strength American Stout brewed with a choice blend of roasted, chocolate, and caramel malts that reinforce the aromatic notes from a substantial addition of The Get Down Coffee Company’s Turn Tables roast. Substantial but approachable, we built this beer around the coffee with the goal of showcasing how the two can be mutually reinforcing. We’re proud to have partnered with North Minneapolis’ own Get Down Coffee Co. on this collaboration project, and we think the results are well-suited to Winter drinking in Minnesota.

Fair State The Get Down Coffee Stout, 7.3% ABV. Pours midnight black, with a real nice and dense four-finger tan head that left great foamy lacing. Nose is roast malt, coffee, and light chocolate. Taste is roast malt and coffee, faintly sweet and slightly bitter. Great mouthfeel, overall outstanding. One of the best non-BA coffee stouts I've had. I prefer it to FBS.

16oz can with a date of Nov/18/22. As coffee stouts go this is a good one. Intense coffee aroma and flavor but this beer isn't just coffee as it also has good malt flavor. The coffee is on the fruity side but it is not acidic. Pairs well with the chocolate malt. It is a little thin and a bit boozy however. Overall this beer just strikes the right balance with me.

Pours dense and dark mohogany with a mocha head and lacing. Smell is fresh roasted coffee first then chocolate roasted malts . Taste has fresh coffee, toffee, caramel vanilla chocolate and roasted malts . Mouth feel is coffee again and very fresh , some sweetness from malts/caramel , very good.

16oz can. Stamped on can bottom is 'NOV/18/22'.
Black colored body, with a mahogany back lit edge. Long lasting light tan head. Big walls of lacing on the non-drinking side of the glass.
Aroma is first with the coffee, with additions from light smoke, caramel, chocolate, and milk sugar.
Taste is again first with the coffee, but also has the flavors of chocolate, light char, caramel, and milk sugar. Coffee maintains its hold in the aftertaste.
Thinner than medium mouth feel, with some chalk. Very good carbonation.
Slight sweet notes in the chocolate realm, but the dark roast coffee is the predominant nose and flavor.

This one dances close to imperial territory and milk stout territory without tipping over into either.
Pours extremely dark but not completely opaque. Limited head. Decent lacing.
Aromas of coffee, caramel, vanilla, ash, anise, and lactose.
Flavors of toffee, caramel, lactose, vanilla, and marshmallow and, of course, solid coffee. But as the brew crosses the mid-palate cashew, walnut, and almond. The quaff concludes with a decent spot of booze.
Just beyond medium bodied. Decently carbonated for the style. This is what keeps this out of sweet stout territory.
Pretty darn solid. The booze is a little forward, which keeps this out of "outstanding" territory.
