Midwest is best! We partnered up with our pals from Barn Town Brewing out of Des Moines, IA to craft Hex Signs—a full, juicy, fruit forward hazy double IPA. Combining experimental hops with Citra and Cryopop will help us all decifer the hex signs, talismen, and barn quilts that hang across landscapes between our two cities and across the midwest.

Hop juice, body. but also funk. Funk aroma and significant bold taste. Lace siding. Unexpected funk, but still interesting. On tap at Hopcat - Ann Arbor.

Canned 6/7/24 (2 months ago)
Appearance: Pours a mostly cloudy (30% clarity) medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 8-9. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, tangerine, orange flour, some blood, orange, fruit punch, cherry, and tea notes. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange citrus, cantaloupe, melon, blood, orange, fruit, punch, orange, flower, and tea notes. Juicy, slightly sweet. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to lighter bodied than expected, strong, carbonation, wider, and cleaner than expected on the finish. (4.50)
Compared to Drekker King Of The Thing 8/24: Pours darker, milder aromas. More orange flower, tea, blood orange, fruit punch. Less tropical pineapple, melon, mango. Drier.
Overall: A Citra and Cryopop, which I am less familiar with. Nice blood orange, fruit punch, stonefruit flavors. Fairly clean and drier than expected for the big ABV. Fair State always makes some great stuff. The flavors are good, but the drinkability is excellent. (Rating: 4.05)
