375 ml bottle into a chalice. Bottled 2/2017, had 2/25/18.
Pours a hazy amber color, with a half inch head and some tight, soapy lacing. Aromas of red wine, plums, grapes, dates, oak, some malt, light vanilla. Smells a little tart. The taste is tart, with malt, plums, red wine, brett, some grapes, oak, light vanilla, a hint of bourbon. Mostly smooth, a good medium body that’s a touch light for the style, well carbonated.
Did have this on tap at the release, and maybe a year was too long to hold the bottle. Don’t really pick up the bourbon, but overall it has a very good flavor and aroma. Very enjoyable.

So I want to start by saying this is a little light feeling for a traditional quad and has a new world flair. That being said the funk and bourbon barrel add plenty of warmth to make up for it. Basically what they have done is given you rich quad flavors without the heavy quad malting. Smell is more tart than taste, but both feature some nice dark fruits, grape, brett, and spices.
