375 ml bottle into a tulip glass. Had 7/22/17.

Pours a yellow color, clear on first pour, cloudy on second, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and a decent amount of soapy lacing. Active carbonation. Smells of wine, Belgian yeast, a light, earthy truffle aroma, a little funk and straw, some black pepper. The taste starts with lots of white wine, light malt, some tartness, light funk, some hop bitterness on the finish. Not picking up any truffle influence. Smooth, a good lighter body, well carbonated.

Overall is was a good Belgian Golden in wine barrels. The truffles didn’t have much play.

The beer pours a light straw yellow color with a bright white effervescent head that I could hear like I was pouring a soda. The head disappated quickly leaving almost no lacing.

The smell has tons of white wine up front. There's also a lacto sourness underneath and a funky, earthy smell that seems to be buried deep.

The taste is very unusual. It's not sour, as I expected from the smell. The deep earthy, funky taste dominates with the white wine flavor coming in very quickly in the middle of the taste.

The mouthfeel is dry, thin, and effervescent. There's a lingering flavor on the finish I can't quite place.

Overall this beer is very unique for my taste, but I'm really enjoying it. I'm guessing that earthy funk I'm getting is the influence of the truffles. I'd like to see more reviews of this to compare notes.

Intrigued, I bought a bottle from the brewery. The smell was pretty nice, showing off the delicate yet aromatic truffles bonding with the belgian yeast. The taste was either too yeasty or not savory enough. Hard to tell sip to sip. Wish it had more umph or some peppery flavors
