Soured wort in our kettle for 48 hours before transferring it into four different Bilberry Black Hearts Gin barrels. Aged for 8 months and each received 42lbs of pureed fruit. Great acidity that pairs well w/ botanical gin character from the barrel. Tons of dark fruit notes abound in aroma and flavor.

Super Internet Sniper is a super fine lookin' piece of alcoholic beverage. The body has tremendous clarity thanks to a long sabbatical in the basement and a careful pour. The deepest of reds fills the glass and flirts with purple, appearing as a bright, vibrant zinfandel. The purple tinted head is immediately frothy and active. It never dissipates, remaining a sturdy crown throughout the drink and leaving full coverage sheet lacing on its way down. The look alone is mouthwatering.
The nose is loaded with complexity. No one aspect rules this beer, it's very well rounded. It starts off with lactic yogurt quality, add to that the initial boysenberry burst. The stems and skins of the boysenberries and dry, splintered oak bring what I can only imagine will be tannins to the middle. There's a soft touch of funky lactic acididty and a sharp cheesiness, like an aged goat cheese. These cheesy, funky, yogurt notes play well with the boysenberries. It gets a little sweaty with some time in the glass and that adds to the overall complexity. Again, this is well balanced.
The flavor keeps up with the nose. That dry, splintered oak runs from front to back while each layer builds upon that aspect. Boysenberry flesh, skin, stem is softly tart, softly sweet. The mustiness is back, weaving in and out of the whole. The yogurt has fallen but the acidity thrives with each drink leaving you wanting another. Each drink morphes from the last. As this guy warms up that gin comes forward in the most complimentary way possible, with a juniper brightness. This is some really good suds. Perfect balance all around.
This beer weighs in a tick shy of moderate but an instant frothiness washes over the tongue. Tannins build with each drink leaving the lower lip and tongue a bit numb while the tartness and acidity lingers along the cheeks. This beer is dry and acidic but in very approachable ways, neither of which being overdone. The mouthfeel borders on some of the better Belgians out there. This is impressive.
Super Internet Sniper is damn fine. It's acidic and fruity but also oaky and musty. The gin barrels are the coup de grace with that whisper of juniper really making all other aspects shine even brighter. This beer is vibrant and incredibly even handed. I can't get enough, oh, wait...this is my last bottle.

The beet red almost purplish hue is insanely beautiful. Mesmerizing even. I'd say the closest resemblance would be black currant juice. The head, though thin, even has a lovely purple died hue through the foamy white crest around the glass.
Oak and tart blackberries fill the nose. Surprisingly, typical gin characteristics of spruce and juniper don't display themselves, but I couldn't say if that's a good or bad thing because it smells wonderful.
The flavor is exactly what I'd hoped for, and flows symbiotically with the feel. Dark berries, fruity but not too sweet. A perfect amount of tart juice is balanced well by the dry woodiness.
I had to force myself from chugging this delicious brew. It all worked so well together and would be something I would regularly enjoy given the opportunity. Absolutely a pleasure. Thank you Joe. Cheers!
