16oz can, no apparent freshness date. A frothy beige head holds great retention atop a reddish-brown colored ale. Aroma is both malt and hop: citrus, pine, caramel, brown sugar, grain. Bold flavors while being well balanced with notes of caramel malt, bread crust, toasted grain, grapefruit, orange, and pine. Full body, resinous, moderate carbonation, bittersweet balanced finish. I see why this won an award - it's very solid. I'll buy this again if I see it. Definitely worth a try in my opinion.

Tasted in a Rastal Craft Master glass from a one pint can on December 27, 2018. Look is dark amber with a finger of foam. Notes of orange citrus and caramel malt. Mild bitterness.
