Had on tap. Like the original this is a corn wine, a fun and rustic take on the barleywine. The barrel is aggressive, lending plenty of bourbon booze, wood, and mash to go along with a backbone of starch and robust bread to the flavors of toffee, golden raisin, and brown sugar in the smell. Taste the booze is hot and a little more overwhelming, still in the range of acceptable balance, but the flavors are not as brilliant as in smell. Feel is hot booze, sneaky robust, and smooth.
