Aged for 15 months in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels and then loaded with a brambleberry mix of blackberries and raspberries. Lastly, we rested this stout on Madagascar vanilla beans and Ghana cacao nibs for another two months.

Pitch black body, brown cap. Smell features the tart berries and vanilla cream with mild bourbon barrel and dark chocolate, dessert is served! But wait you might want to order something else: tart berries dominate, vanilla sugar next, then oak, bourbon, molasses, chocolate, but berries by far and away the strongest. Body is so thin and warm with tons of sugar, breaks down a bit. Good idea, poor balance

Simply amazing offering...

The blackberries and raspberries bring a slight tart sweetness to the beer...not overly sweet at all...

No sign of the 12% at all...none...

This is an an incredible offering from Werk Force...i mean world class...

Normally I wouldn’t go for a beer named Brambleberry Cheesecake, but put Sleepy Bear in front of it, and I say yes please. It’s a sweet, fruity beer that has a boozy barrel presence. The one concern with a beer like this if it’s sticky or too thick or cloying or oily. This one is only slightly sticky and thick. Maybe not their best, but it’s still a Sleepy Bear, and it’s better than ranked.

16 ounce can into a snifter. Had 5/1/20.

Pours a thick looking dark brown, opaque, with a half inch head of reddish foam and some soapy lacing. Aromas of chocolate, berries, oak, char, rye, roasted malt, some bourbon and vanilla. Pretty similar flavors- berries, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, rye, some bourbon, light oak and char. Smooth, a very good medium to full body, well carbonated.

Everything works really well together. The berries are great, but the rye and vanilla really make this. Well balanced. Unsure where the cheesecake comes into play... Very enjoyable and well worth a purchase if you can still get it.
