Black opaque body, light brown head. Aromas of dark chocolate dipped in full bourbon barrels, with vanillins, brown sugar, plum, date, and dark oak laced rye. Taste has a sweeter chocolate center with vague tones of licorice and vanilla but no molasses or caramel really, very slight roast to malt, rye and barrel take over slowly through the sip in a deeper way. Drier and lighter but so smooth, barrels really open up as it warms. Best stout by WF in a long time!
