500ml Bottle conditioned with a best before date of 15 Sep 2013 (or 2012, can't be sure). Poured into a UK pint (carefully) @ home on 15 Nov 2012. No sediment left the bottle.
Nice, mid-brown, amber body, clean and clear: on top a good foam blanket of off-white bubbles which stayed around as well as leaving lacing on the sides of the glass.
The nose is malty, caramel notes lead the way with treacle/toffee coming a close second.
The taste is also malts first and foremost although there is a pleasing dry semi-bitter finish. I also found hints of fruit and nuts in the flavours as the beer warmed a little in the glass.
The beer is pleasant enough, but nothing to get excited about.
