From a 473ml can packaged on 30 Jan 2026. Poured into a pint glass. A big three finger bubbly white head on a foggy gold. Good head retention. A thin layer sticks around to the end. Lots of foamy lacing.
A noble hop aroma. The taste is malt forward. Grainy malts. Some biscuit. Some citrus. A moderate hop finish.
A medium/light body. Overall a solid American Blonde Ale.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Sep 7 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear pale golden-blonde colour. stirring up at least an inch of soapy, foamy white head that fades within two or three minutes' time. A frothy collar of suds lives on, with a tight ring of lace above - yep, it's a blonde ale. Minimalist aroma of grains, dough and a whiff of grassy hay - a little boring, but it's clean and wholesome.
Not bad, but also very basic - I'm tasting grainy cereal sweetness and bready malts, with lesser hints of citrus peel, honey and grassy hops coming through as well. Finishes grainy with a touch of leafy bitterness that lingers briefly into the aftertaste. Light in body, with relatively low carbonation that still manages to add some spritz to this blonde ale's smooth, plush mouthfeel. Very drinkable - I'd call this a good session option, but I just noticed it's 5.5%, which would be pushing the definition.
Final Grade: 3.72, a B grade. Dominion City's Town & Country is an above average blonde - not exactly an exciting conclusion, but then again, blondes are generally not very exciting beers. This is a competently made example that does very little to differentiate itself from the competition - maybe a smidge hoppier than average, but it's still mostly a malt-forward affair. Good for a flagship lunch pail ale... I might buy this again, but blonde ales are not a go-to style for me, so it'd be infrequently.

Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with some faint hops notes. Taste is also a nice mix of cereal notes with some faint hops notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Easy drinking blond ale with a limited amount of complexity.

Drinkable and generally pleasant ale from Dominion City. Toasted caramel in color. Light hops on the nose. Smooth tasting on the pallet. Canned from the brewery.

Creamy head. Round mouthfeel. Crisp with with a hint of biscuit on the finish. Terrific start for the brewery.

Growler from the brewery. Almost no sound when opened suggesting under carbonation.
A - Pours a nice light golden colour with mild carbonation. Small film of white head faded very fast. Bright. No lace and no retention.
S - Grain, honey, mild hop. Hop character comes out more in the warming with some nice orange/citrus notes.
T - Honey, grain, a little metallic maybe, orange.
M - Quite dry to finish. Mild carbonation, medium body.
O/D - As far as blonde ales go, this could be hoppier and seem less dry/harsh. Carbonation is also low for the style. Pretty typical for a new Ontario brewery in their attempt to create an inoffensive brew as a gateway. I would have liked to see them get a little adventurous, but this is OK. I won't go beyond OK and probably won't revisit this.
