This beer features fresh harvested, locally grown Cascade from a family farm in Chapeau, QC. These fresh hops were picked, delivered, and added during the brew all in a single day. Dry hopped with Cryo Fresh™ Simcoe® and locally grown El Dorado®, you can expect aromas of ripe citrus and pine resin with stone fruit, lemon, and floral notes.

Appearance: Poured with a thumbs worth of head that did leave lace behind during the brief few minutes it was around before it disappeared to a single layer, that did stick around well. The body is a somewhat cloudy bright amber, of which you can still seem some of your hand detail, and not just shadows.
Smell: Grassy and vegetable hop notes. Grass is predominant but I am catching some celery and parsley notes from it. I might be catching the barest whiff of caramel or bread malt in the background, but its not really identifiable with the hops taking front stage. It took a brief amount of warming to come out, but not a substantial amount. I think I'm questioning the hop selection on this one.
Taste: Starts with caramel malt that sits behind grass hops before it turns to resinous pine before some mild grapefruit, even milder floral notes and a dominating bitter herb presence. I'd best describe it as the concentrated bitterness of parsley paired with freshly grated peppercorn.
Mouthfeel: I mean, it does a good job of building to it's crescendo, but that final end persists into the aftertaste and cloys in a very unpleasant manner. Carbonation does try to give it some soapy levity, but it can't overcome that end note.
Drinkability: Medium bodied, but this is very much pushing into IPA territory, which isn't doing it for me in terms of the better settling down in my stomach, nor it's capacity to be refreshing. It's odd because up until that bitter end, the sudsy carbonation and hop permeation works great until it doesn't.
Final Thoughts: I want to say that this beer is an example of a failure to stick the landing, but really that weird parsley hopping gives me second thoughts about offering that description. I think this is very much a case of many things were done right here, but the selection of hops didn't work out. If you are an IPA fan, you will probably enjoy this but I feel that wet hop pale ale should be milder then the higher bitter territory this beer resides in. Give it a shot, but it's not for me.

A-Clear amber with a thick off white head
S-Aroma is mainly green and vegetal with some earthy notes
M-Medium body with a peppery element and medium carbonation
T-Malt forward with spice and cinnamon notes
O-Not for all, but made me happy as I’ve tried to make wet hop beers in the past and this is what comes out for me too ☹️
