We brewed this hoppy lager with European pilsner malt, hopped with lots of Hallertau Tradition, Spalter Select and Saphir and fermented it cold and slow. It has a a zippy bitterness and a dry finish with floral aromatics and lemongrass notes from German Saphir hops.

355 mL can from the brewery; no canning date. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy straw yellow colour, topped with one finger of tight, foamy white head that lasts for three minutes or so. A sudsy cap and collar remain in place, with a decent swath of lace adhering to the glass. Floral, grassy, slightly herbal aroma with hints of lemon peel, orange zest and grainy pale malts.
Not bad - more hop-forward & bitter than your average pilsner, but that shouldn't come as a shock, given the "extra hopped" subtitle. Clean grainy, crackery pale malts provide the backbone, with the noble hops adding a distinctly herbal & spicy quality to the back end of the sip. Floral, grassy bitterness rounds out the finish, with suggestions of citrus zest preceding a very dry aftertaste. Light in body, with assertive, tiny-bubbled carbonation that lends some bite to this lager's smooth mouthfeel. Good drinkability - I could have a couple of these in a row, but it's not something I'd want to drink all night.
Final Grade: 3.79, a B+. Dominion City's Lossless Extra Hopped Pils makes for a fine twist upon one of my favourite styles of lager. While I enjoyed its robust noble hop flavours, their intensity (relative to an 'ordinary' pils) does somewhat limit its sessionability IMO. I'd love to give this beer another shot, and will do so at the first opportunity - but at the end of the day, this is just more proof that I generally prefer regular pilsners over these newfangled extra hopped/dry-hopped/Italian-style varieties.

Can: Poured a clear bright yellow color lager with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of clean crisp cereal notes with light herbal notes. Taste is also a mix of clean crisp cereal notes with some hoppy herbal notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well made and highly drinkable lager.
