32 oz growlette was poured into a chalice.
Appearance: A one finger off white head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is an amber brown color with a slight vision of bubbles coming up through the glass when held up to the light.
Smell: Caramel, cinnamon, apple, vanilla, toasted, biscuity, candied fruit, doughy, and a little booze.
Taste: Caramel and bourbon apples up front. Everything else follows and rolls throughout the palate.. spice, slight bitterness, slight chewiness, and some booze in there too.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, a little chewy, a little bitterness, medium bodied, medium to high carbonation, spice, a little dry, and some booze.
Overall: While you don't get any of the traditional roasted, nutty, or chocolate flavor of a brown ale, the apple and cinnamon flavor compliment this beer in time for the holidays.
