Pours an effervescent ebony with one finger of mocha colored head. Some head retention & lacing

S: Coffee, vanilla, cola notes once warm

T: Coffee, a little vanilla, roastyness & a little nuttyness up front. Coffee, sweet vanilla & a touch of cola once warm, a little bit of nuttyness. Finishes roasty, a little dry with coffee & vanilla

MF: Medium body, fairly lively carbonation, stays that way through the whole pour

Drinks easy enough for the heft, perhaps a little less coffee would've serve it better?

Pours pitch black, completely opaque, rather viscous. Thin, luscious velvety mocha colored head forms on the beer, lingers for a moment, then dissipates.

Aroma has notes of roasted malts, vanilla, some nutty notes.

Taste has notes of roasted malts, vanilla, some light hazelnut, a hint of pine on the finish. The vanilla and hazelnut is really subtle - I wish there was a bit more of it coming through.

Feel is medium to fuller bodied, bright carbonation.

Overall a nice American Imperial Stout.

Enjoyed at the brewery.

A - Poured a nice dark black hue with a thin mocha head that fades to leave light wisps and a light halo.

S - Aromas of nice sweeter vanilla, very light nuttiness. Good subtle barrel notes.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, nice light vanilla sweetness, there is some good nutty roast and just a little bit of hazelnuts. Not much chocolate, the barrel is super subtle too.

M - Mouthfeel is rather brightly carbonated, crisp, alcohol hidden well.

O - Overall this beer was rather solid, wish there was more vanilla or hazelnut here. Still, a solid beer.
