L - Brownish red color with three fingers of tan head
S - Bourbon, oak, toffee, caramel, cherries, figs
T - Subdued flavors. Has a rum-like taste with flowers. Sweeter toffee with solid malt presence.
F - Calm body with no alcohol warming. Smooth.
O - Solid Scotch Ale. If the flavors popped on the taste like they did on the nose then this would be in the upper class of the style. Kind of a kid brother to Founders Backwoods Bastard.
