Grabbed a can at Spruce Creek Provisions in Kittery just to try something new (not many quadrupel dry hopped ales come around these parts). Mistakenly thought it was just Magnify Brewing who made it - they were new to me so I said WTH, but can see now it is a collab done by Barreled Souls.
Pours a darker orange gold color, cloudy with a robust 3 to 4 finger biscuit, dense head that retains farily well.
As expected the aroma is pretty strong. It carries some tangy citrus notes along with a hint of tropical, maybe pineapple.
I was expecting a flavor that was strong and alcoholish but couldn't be more different. Instead there is a thick, sweet fresh orange juice flavor along with a minor component of perhaps apricot. It is refreshing and full of flavor and not overly sweet. Honestly this is just a fantastic "juicy" flavor, perhaps one of the best I've tried.
The feel is as thick and soft as it could possibly get before becoming a smoothie. Bitterness is absent as well as effervescence. There is a hint of alcohol on the nose as you go in for a sip after the beer aerates a bit.
What a surprise this one is! Damn I wish I had gotten more when I picked it up. Probably not coming around again I would think. I rate this among the top NEIPAs I have had - just solid in all categories... and it doesn't have the alcohol burn or smell that normally comes with this ABV. Just awesome for my tastes.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
