Pours an exciting shade of hazy orange. Dare I say nearly like a NEIPA? Decent head for a good bit of time that eventually falls flat.
The smell is straightforward pineapple, mango, and guava as advertised. Straight up. Slight gose-like metallic salty tang underlies the overall smell.
The taste follows along. It is evident that this is a fruited gose, not some other variation on a theme. There is a slight but noticeable salt taste, a little yeasty note, and just enough sour to keep the substantial fruitiness at least marginally restrained.
Nit picking, this seems a bit full bodied for the style. I go back to that it kinda looks like a hazy IPA...it's not quite that heavy, but heavier than a true gose, in my opinion.
I had zero expectation of liking this beer, but it is very good. The given components meld with and help tame down what would be a massive fruit bomb otherwise. I can see drinking this on a wicked hot summah day.
